Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our public sector client on a temporary basis.

?? Role: Chef
??Location: Edinburgh East
??Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
??Pay Rate: £13.95 per hour
??Duration: Temporary 6 months (with the possibility of permanent opportunity)
??Start Date: Late August/Early September 2026

Please note: This role requires a PVG Certificate for Children, or both Children and Adults. The cost is £59 for a new application or £18 to update an existing certificate, payable by the successful applicant.

?? Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious evening meals each day
Prepare meals in advance for weekend service
Order food supplies and manage stock levels
Complete temperature checks and maintain food safety records
Carry out daily kitchen hygiene and compliance checks
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and ready for each service
Cater for a range of dietary, cultural, and religious requirements
