Catering Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

St Margaret's Care Home offers nursing, residential, dementia, respite and palliative care for up to 60 residents in Newington.

Great food brings comfort, familiarity and an important sense of routine, and as a Catering Assistant, you will play a valuable role in helping create a positive dining experience that residents look forward to every day.

Working closely with the kitchen team, you will support the preparation and service of meals while helping maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment. From food preparation and kitchen hygiene to supporting meal service and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the day, your contribution will directly support the wellbeing and daily comfort of those living within the home.

• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a busy team
• Good organisation skills with strong attention to cleanliness and detail
  
  Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices is beneficial
• Previous kitchen, catering or food preparation experience is helpful but not essential
• Reliable, hardworking and professional approach with willingness to learn
