Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Optical Consultant role located in Cameron Toll, Edinburgh. The Optical Consultant will assist customers in selecting eyewear that best suits their needs and preferences, provide advice on lens types and coatings, and ensure an exceptional customer experience at all times. Key responsibilities include managing appointments, helping with eye tests, and providing product knowledge to customers. Additionally, the role involves supporting the team in maintaining stock, adhering to compliance standards, and promoting Boots Opticians’ services and products.

Qualifications
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills to ensure a welcoming and professional experience for all customers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain product options, lens types, and eyecare services.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage appointments and maintain stock effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in assisting with prescriptions, adjustments, and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Previous experience in retail, optometry, or healthcare is advantageous but not essential as training is provided.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the team’s success.
