About The Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll help make our difference felt by customers on every visit, providing partner‑led service and a passion for food that our competitors can’t match. Your drive to go the extra mile will shape the impression of the Waitrose brand, earning customers’ trust and loyalty for a lifetime.

• Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves remain full and products are placed correctly and timely for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver directly to their doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and marking down items approaching sell‑by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to provide support when needed, including checkout, Click & Collect orders, on‑demand orders and more.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shop‑keeping tasks.

• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch.
