This is a key role within our sales team, responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with our wholesale partners across Edinburgh and Scotland, while identifying opportunities to develop existing accounts and generate new business.

We're looking for someone who is highly personable, organised and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in coffee and hospitality.

You'll be comfortable building strong relationships, working independently and representing Obadiah with professionalism and confidence.

About the role

Working closely with our Head of Sales and the wider Obadiah team, you will:

  • Manage and develop key wholesale relationships across Scotland.
  • Act as a proactive and approachable point of contact for our partners.
  • Identify opportunities for account development, collaboration and shared growth.
  • Support our partners with coffee knowledge, brewing advice, equipment guidance and training.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions using Obadiah's existing training programme and materials.
  • Generate and develop new wholesale opportunities, including guest-featured partnerships.
  • Manage an active sales pipeline and contribute towards monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Help develop activations and events including cuppings, bar takeovers and collaborative projects.
  • Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Obadiah's coffees, sourcing approach and roasting philosophy.
  • Represent Obadiah and our approach to coffee with professionalism and integrity.

The position will primarily be based at our Edinburgh roastery, with time spent visiting wholesale partners and occasional domestic or international travel as required.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has at least one year of experience in sales, account management, customer relations or a comparable role.
  • Has experience or a strong interest in coffee, brewing and the specialty coffee industry.
  • Is an excellent communicator and confident developing long-term customer relationships.

  • Has strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting customers.
  • Is commercially aware and motivated by achieving sales targets and contributing to business growth.
  • Is confident using digital systems and data to manage accounts and opportunities.

Previous wholesale coffee experience would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in candidates with strong hospitality, account management or sales experience who have a genuine interest in developing their knowledge of specialty coffee.
