Civil Operative; Digger & Reinstatement

XAD Technologies LTD have an exciting opportunity for the very best talent and are looking to recruit Civils Operatives to provide complete civils work.

In your role you will be responsible for:

• Excavating in the highways and complying with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG
  47
• Installing new duct work and chambers
• Clearing blockages
• Rod, Rope and Testing
• Compliance with Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)
• Working in the UG and PIA network whilst adhering to Health and Safety legislation, delivering 100% satisfaction to our customers

Hold the following qualifications/certifications/trainings:

• NRSWA Essential Units 1- 3, 6,7, CSCS Desirable
• Unit 1 (LA) - Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
• Unit 2 (O1) - Signing, lighting and guarding
• Unit 3 (O2) - Excavation in the highway
• Unit 4 (O3) - Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
• Unit 5 (O4) - Reinstatement of sub-base and road base in non-bituminous materials
• Unit 8 (O7) - Reinstatement of concrete slabs
• Unit 9 (O8) - Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
• Q020 (DB1) & K008 & Q021 & Q13 & Q19

Experience:
We are looking for someone with:

• Experience in a similar environment within the telecommunications industry
• Proven skills in the area of street works with industry recognized qualifications
• Hold a full UK drivers license, with no more than 6 points
• High preference for those having experience in operating:
  Excavator above 10 ton, CD1 /ME1 /DB1 /K8, Excavator 360 tracked above/below 10 ton, Excavator 180 wheeled/above 5T
