Salary: £33k basic + door‑to‑door paid overtime, plus £50 per job for additional work brought in.

Hours:

8‑5pm with on‑call rota (1 in 8 weekends, incl. bank holidays).

Metro Rod works with Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Mitie, Clarion, Axa, Wetherspoons and many more in FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors.

• Carry out services related to cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining customers’ drains.
• Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
• Conduct surveys.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
• Accurately record work details via bespoke internal/client systems and apps.
• Communicate effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to maintain excellent customer service.
• Participate in an on‑call rota to service clients 24/7/365; one week in four (variable by business needs).

• Experience with high‑pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying (commercial drainage experience desirable; training provided for suitable candidates).
• Confined space entry experience.
• CSCS tickets.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and sound technical knowledge.
• Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
• Willingness to work unsocial hours.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to cover all mentioned areas.
