We are looking to recruit a cleaner for our home in Baldock. This is an opportunity to work alongside a committed, friendly and creative team, where the home environment is an important aspect of care. We support children and teenagers who have been in hospital or preventive to going to hospital for mental health. The cleaner works with a group of residential care staff, a handy person, cook and office staff to ensure that the home is a clean, child friendly and homely place to live.
As part of this role, you will be required to travel to other HCC sites/residences using your own mode of transport.
The Role
You will complete a wide range of cleaning duties to a high standard in all areas of the home, oversee COSHH, order provisions, ensure health and safety, and keep daily and weekly cleaning schedules and equipment checks on time. You will contribute to maintaining a home where children can thrive and feel nurtured.
You will have direct contact with children, communicating and building relationships and trust with them. You will also be trained as part of the role.
About You Essential- Previous experience of cleaning in a professional environment
- You will need to be proactive and willing to adapt to the challenges the home environment will bring.
- Experience of working in a child‑focused environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety regulations and guidance.
