Volunteer 1:1 Role Description
- Listening and talking either virtually or face to face.
- Offering a safe and confidential space.
- Provide feedback after each session.
- Cosca counselling skills or equivalent is essential for this role.
- PVG membership required.
- Induction and training will be provided.
- Access to a car or public transport required unless supporting virtually.
- Agreed expenses paid as per expenses policy when necessary.
The time required for this role depends on the needs of the individuals. We suggest contributing around 1 hour for virtual support and 2 hours for in‑person support. A typical journey begins with a phone call and can progress to in‑person meetings over approximately 12 weeks.
Experience requiredCosca counselling skills or relevant experience, including life experience, is essential for this role.
