Java​/Angular Software Engineer

Your role

• You will be a hands‑on technical expert helping us deliver projects in a true Dev Ops manner, applying a software engineering mindset to provisioning services, writing code, and building automation tools and scripts.
• You will maintain a lean mindset, striving to build reliable and performant services that are operationally sound, eliminating waste and applying this across the entire software delivery lifecycle for both internal customers and end users.

• Experience of JavaScript/Typescript and a familiarity with Java
• Experience of Angular or equivalent
• Experience of Bootstrap 5, HTML, CSS
• Optional experience with Open Layers or a similar mapping library
• Optional experience with Java Spring Boot
• Knowledge of software design patterns and when to apply them
• Excellent knowledge of development processes
• Experience of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
• A passion for delivering quality code by using TDD and setting high software quality standards

To be appointed, you must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. The applicant must have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last five years and meet other eligibility criteria, including nationality and residence.
