About the role and team:
Our iOS teams work simultaneously to bring similar but distinct experiences to our clients.
As a Lead Mobile Engineer, you’ll play a key role in setting technical direction, leading engineering decisions and supporting the development of high-performing mobile teams. You’ll remain hands‑on while helping shape how we use Swift, iOS and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to build scalable, maintainable mobile applications.
As we continue we’re always looking to find and adopt the best tools for the job - whether that’s making our CI better with automated code scanning and UI testing or developing reusable libraries that we can share across projects.
We conduct unit testing across all our projects, code is always peer reviewed, and we encourage these reviews to happen “over the shoulder” (or on a call more recently) to make it a better environment for team members to learn from each other. As a team we meet regularly to discuss new approaches and challenges, whether that’s within our project teams or in the wider mobile community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the design and development of high-quality mobile apps using Swift and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), using shared business logic across iOS and other platforms
- Setting technical direction and making architectural decisions across native iOS and KMP development
- Remaining hands‑on, writing clean, maintainable and well‑tested code using Swift, Kotlin and modern iOS development practices
- Creating intuitive, responsive user interfaces using SwiftUI and modern iOS frameworks
- Leading the integration of iOS applications with shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules and contributing to the architecture of shared KMP codebases
- Providing technical leadership to other mobile engineers through mentoring, pairing, code reviews and technical guidance
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges, removing blockers and helping the team make pragmatic engineering decisions
- Working closely with designers, product owners, testers, engineering teams and clients in a collaborative, agile environment
- Communicating technical decisions clearly and influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Championing engineering excellence and best practices across both KMP and native iOS development
We’d love to talk to you if you:
- Have extensive experience in native iOS development using Swift and are confident with the latest iOS frameworks and tools
- Have hands‑on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and understand how to architect and integrate shared codebases across platforms
- Have experience working with SwiftUI and modern iOS application architecture
- Are comfortable working with Kotlin and integrating shared KMP modules within native iOS applications
- Have experience leading mobile engineers and providing technical direction across complex engineering projects
- Can make and communicate architectural decisions while balancing technical quality, delivery and business requirements
- Are comfortable working with clients and…
