7.5T Driver

Pertemps are currently recruiting 7.5T Drivers to join our client's Street Cleaning Team in Edinburgh. This is a hands‑on role where you'll support environmental services by collecting bulky household items and helping keep local communities clean and safe.

• Hours:
  
  4 days on / 4 days off – 06:00 to 17:02 (45-minute break)
• Pay: £14.51 – £16.23 per hour
• Duration:
  Temporary – ongoing work

• Driving a 7.5-ton vehicle as part of the bulk uplift service
• Collecting bulky household items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc.)
• Working with the crew to safely lift, load, and remove items from properties
• Following planned routes and schedules efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
• Interacting with the public professionally when required
• Maintaining excellent safety standards at all times
• Street cleansing duties such as litter picking, sweeping, removing weeds and leaves, etc.

• Valid UK driving licence with C1 category
• CPC qualification card and Tacho card Experience operating larger vehicles
• Good health & safety awareness
• Team player with good communication skills
• Physical fitness – regular lifting and manual handling is part of the role
