Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category

C) Drivers for a 3‑month contract with a well‑established food distribution company operating across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for steady, ongoing work with full‑time hours, competitive pay, and the chance to build valuable industry experience. Newly qualified (new pass) drivers are encouraged to apply.

Immediate starts available.

• Ongoing work for a 3‑month contract period
• Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts available
• Typical start times of 7:00am or 11:00am
• Full‑time hours with overtime opportunities during busy periods

• Monday to Friday: £14.50 per hour (PAYE), £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
• Overtime – after 8 hours: £19.32 per hour (PAYE), £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
• Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
• Weekly pay
• Holiday pay accrued unless PAYE Advanced selected

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle delivering food products to customers
• Completing multi‑drop deliveries across local routes
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork accurately
• Providing professional and friendly customer service

• Full UK Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused attitude
