Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in Edinburgh on a 4 on 4 off rota
.

This is a great opportunity for a driver looking for steady, ongoing work with short-distance driving and very little manual handling
.

You will be responsible for shunting vehicles over a short distance between locations on site. This is a straightforward role with minimal physical work
, as vehicles are loaded and unloaded for you.

Duties will include:

• Shunting HGV vehicles over a short distance
• Working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota
• Moving vehicles safely between locations
• Following site procedures and safety requirements
• Working as part of a team
• Completing basic vehicle checks where required
• No long-distance driving
• Very little manual handling
• Opportunity for ongoing work for the right driver

• £14.75 per hour
• 12-hour shifts
• 4 days on / 4 days off
• Immediate start available

• Full HGV Class 2 (C) licence
• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Minimum 24 years old due to insurance requirements
• Maximum 6 penalty points
  , with no more than 3 points for any single offence
• No DD, DR, DG, CD or IN endorsements
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Good communication skills
