Senior Accountant (Contract – 3 Months)
Location:
Edison, NJ
Duration: 3 Months
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 3‑month contract role in Edison, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month‑end close, and clean‑up work. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash transactions.
- Assist with month‑end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.
- Identify and correct accounting errors and perform clean‑up work to ensure accurate financial records.
- Support the accounting team with ad‑hoc projects and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven experience with account reconciliations and month‑end close.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Sage ERP (Sage 100 is preferred but Sage Intacct is fine)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
