Accounts Payable Specialist – Edison, NJ
Our client, a leading building materials manufacturer and distributor
, is growing and seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Edison, NJ.

Key Responsibilities- Process, code, and review vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders
- Resolve EDI invoice errors and discrepancies between invoices, goods receipts, and shipping charges
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all invoices and credits are properly recorded
- Handle transactions related to direct and drop shipments, including proforma invoicing and cost adjustments
- Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues
- Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor information
- Prepare and process vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timely approval
- Monitor expenses and review invoices and expense reports
- Manage AP email accounts and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
- Support additional accounting projects as needed
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience
- ERP experience required.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting, finance, and bookkeeping principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
