Pride Health is hiring a Corporate Buyer to support our client’s medical facility based in Edison, NJ – 08837. This is a 99 Week Assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Pay Range: $21.00/hr to $24.00/hr

Shift: Core

Hours:

7:30 PM - 4:00 AM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Work Mode:
Hybrid- may be expected to report onsite as needed

Duration: 99 Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews purchase requests and coordinates with departments on specs, delivery, and quality.
• Ensures compliance with GPO contracts; uses GPO tools for pricing/product info.
• Places orders via EDI or directly with vendors.
• Reviews price increases; reports issues and updates Materials Management.
• Solicits quotes for non-GPO items, performs pricing analysis, and negotiates.
• Analyzes group purchasing contracts for savings.
• Evaluates vendors based on product specs, pricing, and delivery.
• Expedites back-orders; works with departments to approve substitutions.
• Focuses on cost savings, standardization, and inventory optimization.
• Provides strong customer service to all stakeholders.
• Processes orders within 24 hours of requisition.
• Supports product evaluations with market research and cost analysis.
• Coordinates with suppliers to maintain accurate pricing and item data.
• Identifies process improvements to support efficiency and satisfaction.
• Performs other assigned duties and projects.
• Adheres to HMH standards and professional conduct.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience Required:

• 3+ years of purchasing experience, including issuing POs and evaluating suppliers.
• Experience with automated systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive.
