Position Summary
We’re seeking an organized, detail‑oriented Payroll Administrator to own end‑to‑end, bi‑weekly multi‑state payroll and benefits administration for a diverse employee population. Prior experience in an MSP environment and a staffing company is a definite plus.
What you’ll do
- Take charge of full-cycle, bi‑weekly multi‑state payroll setup and processing (non‑exempt/exempt, W‑2/1099 as applicable).
- Review and reconcile time and attendance for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws (sick time, overtime, bereavement, FMLA, unemployment, garnishments/child support).
- Serve as the go‑to contact for employees on pay, deductions, and with holdings.
- Administer 401(k) plans (enrollments, changes, loans, audits).
- Manage health, dental, and vision enrollments/terminations in carrier portals, including COBRA.
- Onboard/offboard employees in the external payroll system and maintain employee master data.
- Support audits and compliance (internal, external, and client/MSP) with accurate documentation and reporting.
- Be part of a close‑knit team that values accuracy and trust in every paycheck.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years hands‑on payroll experience with Paychex or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel, and solid Word/Outlook skills.
- Precision in data entry and record‑keeping; highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Clear, professional communication with employees and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently under deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting (or equivalent experience).
