Children's Technical Designer

We are looking for a Children's Technical Designer for a fashion brand in Central New Jersey. This position will support the company and technical design department with varied tasks, making certain that the company achieves and maintains the very best fit and construction. This position will guide vendors in our supplier matrix for best practices, and work with them on daily workmanship and measurement challenges that may arise.

• Experience with boys and girls, toddlers 4 to 6 years old, and some baby (newborn/infant)
• Creation of new specs / new bodies
• Setting up spec sheets, old and carry forward bodies
• Keying / modifying measurements into Excel workbooks
• Manually grade sizing as needed upon FIT approval
• Taking photos, evaluating on forms, and measuring FIT/PP sampling
• Sending detailed comments overseas, working via email with daily communication to guide the team through the FIT/pre-pro process
• Collaborating internally with Creative team as needed regarding fabric, workmanship and performance
• Collaborate and communicate with retailer technical design departments when third party fit processes and approvals are required
