New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. It provides services to infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Students with Disabilities to work with students with developmental and related disabilities aged 3-21 years at our Lakeview School.

• Develop appropriate educational goals and objectives, teaching strategies, and methods of assisting these goals for each student in the class.
• Plan and implement individual, small, and large group instructional activities and promote appropriate socialization and self-help skills.
• Supervise and direct the activities of the teaching assistants and aides in the classroom.

• BA or BS degree.
• NJ DOE certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of Handicapped.
• NJ DOE certification as Elementary School Teacher K-5.
