What You’ll Be Doing- Provide technical safety and health support and information to production and corporate personnel
- Conduct safety training for new employees at various locations and in varied conditions
- Travel for this role is 100% when required
- Perform extensive job site walking, climbing, and equipment demonstrations
- Prepare written safety and health programs and policies
- Identify safety training needs and develop/coordinate safety training programs
- Develop annual company safety and health goals
- Participate in new product/process reviews including process hazard analysis and operator training
- Support engineering controls to minimize safety and occupational health hazards
- Assist personnel in selecting and training with appropriate personal protective equipment
- Manage PPE inventory across the country
- Maintain safety records via databases and physical records
- Maintain corporate safety library (videos, regulations, manuals)
- Promote safety and health awareness through memoranda, newsletters and training programs
- Participate in various Safety Committees
- Review procedures and batch records for safety and health considerations
- Understand and monitor Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations
- Provide regulatory compliance support to offices and staff
- Conduct onsite safety audits
- Host online, audio and jobsite safety meetings
- Monitor lost-time injuries/illnesses and workers’ compensation claims
- Manage post-incident reporting and field safety support
- Review investigation reports and follow up as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in safety science/engineering/industrial hygiene or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Working knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations, NEPA, ANSI
- Ability to travel 100% is required
- OSHA 500 required
- Experience with Construction Aerial, Industrial, and Earth Moving Equipment (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
