Overview

With more than 30 years of combined experience in the field of optoelectronics, our OSI Optoelectronics (OSIO) division is a diversified manufacturer of standard and custom photodiodes and optical sensors used in aerospace, defense, commercial and medical applications. OSI Laser Diode, a division of OSI Optoelectronics, seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop and support new opto‑electronic products, design analog and digital circuits, work with suppliers, and release products into production.
Responsibilities- Design opto‑electronic modules & components.
- Write product specifications.
- Interface with customers.
- Interface with internal functions & manufacturing.
- Write software code as required.
- Conduct supplier development.
- Provide technical marketing support.
- Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- Report quality problems or defects to senior management for corrective action.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- 5+ years of experience in electronic product design (required).
- Proven knowledge of optoelectronic applications.
- Strong understanding of analog & digital interface techniques.
- Experience with circuit simulation, Python, and LabVIEW applications & code.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience designing lenses and optics is a plus.
- Deep understanding of opto‑electronic device characteristics.
