Pharmacy Technician & Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician & Driver to join our team at Star Pharmacy! As a Pharmacy Technician, you will receive incoming prescriptions, verify their accuracy, and input them into our system. You will also accept payments for prescriptions, receive incoming inventory, and answer customer questions and concerns. As a driver, you will pick up and deliver medications within your designated area to patients and providers.

• Receive written and faxed prescriptions from patients and doctor’s offices, verify the information, and input it into the system.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications in the pharmacy.
• Receive incoming inventory, verify accuracy, log it within the system, and put it away as needed.
• Maintain proper pharmacy records, including patient profiles and inventory logs.
• Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions.
• Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring as needed.
• Pick up from Edison, NJ and drive to Newark, NJ area daily.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed.
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired.
• Spanish speaking heavily preferred.

• Full Time
• 40 hours
• Weekend availability preferred.

• $17-$25 hourly (based on experience)

• $0.70 per mile for gas
• Wear & tear
