• Maintain active medical records and organize thinned records for safekeeping.
• Perform periodic audits to ensure documentation standards are met and correct as needed.
• Maintain process of closing medical records within 30 days.
• Coordinate record archiving and destruction.
• Complete various record requests according to appropriate time frames.
• Ensure off unit record storage is double locked and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to operate and use all equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner consistent with their intended purpose so that equipment, facility property, and/or individuals are not damaged or injured.
• Must use good judgment in the performance or assigned duties and report any conditions that affect workload and/or assigned duties to supervisor.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years healthcare experience in medical records.
• Computer skills.
• Telephone/Paging system experience.

Minimum rate of $20.32 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
