• Understand dietary orders, restrictions, and allergies and correctly administer proper diet order through selections, reviewing all notes or requests for each patient.
• Provide the ultimate customer experience for patients, coordinating with kitchen and office staff for timely tray delivery, explaining menu options, ensuring all patients are fed during appropriate meal times, delivering tube feeding and snacks as needed, and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Communicate calmly, pleasantly, and professionally to patients and co‑workers, following patient scripts, introducing yourself, explaining the Bedside Bistro program, reviewing menu selections, and providing suggestions.
• Represent the department with proper dress code and personal hygiene, complete cleaning and sanitation assignments, maintain the patient food refrigerator, record daily temperatures, sanitize the interior, rotate and document par stocks, and keep food carts and the work environment clean.
• Use CBORD to enter menu selections, delivery times, additional requests, and notes, and update the tray monitor when a tray has been delivered.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned and adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent program.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred:
  Food service experience.
• Preferred:
  Customer service experience.

Minimum rate of $17.32 per hour
. The posted rate is an estimate of the minimum base pay. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency under the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may differ based on experience, education, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. Performance‑based incentives, shift differentials for evening work, and a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits) may also apply.
