About This Role
The Registered Nurse - Perinatal Educator functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those with a passion for maternal child health and education.

- Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
- Schedule: Per Diem
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs based on age and cultural differences.
- Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them with the team.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Childbirth Education Certification from CCES, Lamaze International, PCE, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of RN work experience, preferably in Maternal Child Health
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
- Certified Childbirth Educator
