The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Associate Scrum Master's primary duties may include coordinating and facilitating sprint planning, retrospective sprint review, daily stand‑up, encouraging collaboration within the scrum team and Product Owners, supporting the team and the Product Owner and helping with communication across Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. This role is expected to help the Scrum team remove external and internal blockers/impediments and shield them from external distractions.

Should steer the scrum team towards the sprint goals and assist the Product Owner with Backlog refinement. Should be innovators who constantly seek ways to improve themselves and the team.

Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, and/or applicable technical certificate, and/or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience working in an agile software development environment, preferably as a Scrum Master.
  • General knowledge of Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum tools (e.g., Asana).
  • Delivery or software development.
  • Familiarity with tech stacks.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, a desire to learn, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translation of complex technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Agile work process.
  • Experience with customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Skills and Abilities

Preferred
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master.
Licenses and Certifications Preferred
  • Certified Scrum Practitioner.
  • Certified Scrum Master.
