Job Description
As a Service Now Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and guiding the implementation of complex Service Now solutions across multiple platforms and modules. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Service Now capabilities and best practices to architect robust solutions that drive business value, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Architecture:
Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Service Now solutions, including HRSD modules and other Service Now applications. - Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to define the architectural vision and roadmap for Service Now implementations. - Customization & Configuration:
Oversee the customization and configuration of Service Now modules, ensuring best practices and scalability. - Integration Design:
Architect integrations between Service Now and third‑party systems (such as LDAP, Active Directory, SAP, and custom APIs), ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability. - Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices and consistent, high‑quality coding standards. - Platform Optimization:
Identify opportunities to optimize Service Now environments for performance, usability, and cost‑efficiency, including reviewing data models, integrations, and workflows. - Governance & Security:
Establish governance processes to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of Service Now environments, including the proper management of data, access control, and system configurations. - Client Engagement:
Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and recommendations to clients on Service Now architecture, process automation, and platform capabilities. - Documentation:
Produce comprehensive solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides. - Upgrades & Enhancements:
Lead efforts for system upgrades, patching, and platform enhancements, ensuring minimal impact on operations and aligning with new Service Now releases and features. - Drive the end‑to‑end implementation of Service Now HRSD modules, ensuring timely execution of project deliverables.
- Design HRSD solutions that align with business goals and scalability requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and provide architectural blueprints for implementation.
- Help HRSD projects through discovery, design, build, test, and deployment activities.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing Service Now solutions, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role.
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD), Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA), or Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, particularly Incident, Problem, Change Management, and Configuration Management, and the ability to map these processes to Service Now capabilities.
- Experience with Service Now modules HRSD, Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), and Source to Pay modules.
- Knowledge of integrations between Service Now HRSD and other enterprise HR systems.
- Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities with demonstrated ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to think strategically and innovate.
- Experience in examining and re‑engineering business processes.
- Customer‑focused approach to work, with ability to interpret and address complex requirements.
- Experience with scripting, business rules, UI policies, and other Service Now customization features.
- Experience with Service Now integrations with third‑party systems.
- Experience with ITIL principles and best practices.
- Experience with agile methodologies and managing large‑scale Service Now implementations.
