Epic certifications in coding and CDI, and experience with transcription and Sollventum are strongly preferred. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and participate in the project management cycle for all software implementation, maintenance and support processes.
  • Direct software building, testing and support tasks within the team, and among other Information Technology work groups, other departments within the organization, and vendors.
  • Provide application expertise and guidance to the team and promote staff development.
  • Make recommendations and assist with the development of departmental policies and procedures as well as departmental and organizational process improvement efforts.
  • Promote teamwork, facilitate inter-team and intra-team communication.
  • Takes positions of leadership when installing/upgrading new/existing applications and components, configuring application settings, and validating work performed by lower level Application Analysts.
  • Operates as an escalation point for related application issues related to team efforts and tasks.
  • Provide go‑live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Oversee and/or perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with IT associates and/or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
  • Interpret end user requirements by fully discussing potential options and helping clients move toward optimal solutions.
  • Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.
  • Create system specifications from user requirements.
  • Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.
  • Document all outcomes of testing, review lower level Application Analysts' test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness.
  • Responsible for application implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
  • Update system, operational, and department documentation.
  • Recommend areas for process improvements.
  • Provide on‑call support for applications.
  • Function as a preceptor for new staff in the department.
  • Responsible for performing Payroll duties.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day activities of assigned application analysts team members, including prioritization of work, coordination of resources, and performance reviews.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Adhere to HMH's competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related IT experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of IT experience preferably in healthcare or related field(s).
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced techniques, theories and processes to complete work.
  • Team player and ability to multitask in a progressive environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of organization and staff in one‑to‑one settings and group presentations.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate actions of small groups to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Works independently and effectively manages time unsupervised.
  • Strong desktop skills including spreadsheets, diagrams, presentation, and other collaboration suite tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.
  • Collaborates with other team members across the department.
  • Demonstrates self‑direction.
