Responsibilities- Effectively share knowledge with and mentor lower‑level Applications Programmers.
- Assist in validating work from lower‑level programmers.
- Take leadership roles when using advanced coding methods to create efficient applications.
- Code features and functionality based on detailed specifications or business requirements.
- Recommend technical solutions to complex business problems.
- Oversee and participate in testing of component functionality, monitor production performance, and troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain internal and end‑user documentation.
- Provide technical assistance during application implementation or maintenance.
- Recommend process improvements and contribute to policy and procedure redesign.
- Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adhere to the Medical Center’s Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in IT or a related field.
- Five or more years of relevant IT experience.
- Extensive experience with one or more programming languages or frameworks.
- Ability to organize and coordinate small groups toward departmental goals.
- Works independently and manages time with little supervision.
- Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Creates clear, concise documentation.
- Collaborates with team members across the department.
- Demonstrates self‑direction.
Preferred:
- Additional Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field.
- Healthcare experience or related field.
- Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or equivalent application programming experience (e.g., People Soft tools).
Minimum rate: $ annually. HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Compensation may vary based on market data, experience, education, certifications, geography, internal equity, and budget.
