The Applications Analyst III gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications and build to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives. This level works with little or no supervision and acts as a resource for lower level Application Analysts.
Responsibilities- Effectively share knowledge with and mentor Applications Analyst I.
- Install/upgrades new/existing applications and components, configure application settings, and validate work performed by Application Analyst I.
- Assist in the coordination of end‑user support activities.
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility.
- Provide go‑live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
- Oversee and/or perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with IT associates and/or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
- Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
- Interpret end‑user requirements by fully discussing potential options and helping client move toward optimal solution.
- Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.
- Create system specifications from user requirements.
- Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.
- Document all outcomes of testing. Review Application Analyst I’s test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness.
- Implement, troubleshoot, and support applications.
- Present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
- Handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher level staff.
- Update system, operational, and department documentation.
- Recommend areas for process improvements.
- Provide on‑call support for applications.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Lifts a minimum of 20 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 20 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
- Adhere to the Medical Centers Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience preferably in healthcare or related field OR 2 years of IT experience and 2 years of clinical experience.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Works independently and effectively manages time with little or no supervision.
- Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.
- Collaborates with other team members across the department.
- Demonstrates self‑direction.
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or experience; where applicable, other relevant application experience.

CompensationStarting at $95,555.20 Annually.
HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate is a reasonable good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.
