IT APPLICATIONS ANALYST III - DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Location: Edison, New Jersey (mostly remote; works in Edison office Tuesdays)
Job Summary: The Applications Analyst III gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications and builds to ensure that developed IT solutions support business objectives. This level works with little or no supervision and acts as a resource for lower level Application Analysts.
Responsibilities- Effectively share knowledge with and mentor lower level Application Analysts.
- Install, upgrade, configure, and validate new or existing applications and components.
- Assist in coordination of end‑user support activities.
- Attend, participate in, and run meetings throughout the facility and within the IT department.
- Provide go‑live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
- Oversee or perform analysis of necessary application modifications and coordinate with IT associates and vendors.
- Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
- Interpret end‑user requirements and help clients move toward optimal solutions.
- Evaluate operational workflow applied to the system.
- Create system specifications from user requirements.
- Develop test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and modifications.
- Document outcomes of testing and review lower level Application Analysts’ test plans for consistency.
- Take responsibility for application implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
- Present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
- Handle complex issues, referring only the most complex to higher‑level staff.
- Update system, operational, and department documentation.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Provide on‑call support for applications.
- Contribute to policy and procedure redesign.
- Act as a preceptor for new staff.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Physical requirements:
lift and push/pull at least 20 lb., stand for a minimum of 4 h per day. - Adhere to the Medical Centers Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience in healthcare or related field, or 2 years of IT experience combined with 2 years of clinical experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Independent and effective time management with minimal supervision.
- Strong desktop skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining clear, concise documentation.
- Collaborative with other team members across the department.
- Self‑direction and initiative.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
- Epic HIM certification; 3M certification required.
- Other relevant application certifications acceptable.
Minimum annual base pay: $95,555.20. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; additional equity, bonuses, and shift differentials may apply.
