Corporate Associate - Rising Firm and Practice Group

Our client, an expanding Northern New Jersey firm, is seeking a Corporate Associate with four to seven years of experience to join its active transactional practice. The firm is particularly interested in an entrepreneurial Associate who wants to take increasing ownership of matters, develop direct client relationships, and help build a corporate practice that continues to expand.

The Associate will work directly with partners and clients on mergers and acquisitions from initial structuring through closing, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and managing the deal process. The practice also includes significant corporate governance work, including entity formation and structuring, operating and shareholder agreements, corporate approvals, commercial agreements, and advising clients on ongoing corporate and business matters.

The ideal candidate will have substantive M&A and corporate governance experience, strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effective with clients. Compensation includes a base salary of $180K to $220K, together with bonus and origination potential and a comprehensive benefits package.
