The opportunity

Position Summary: Support maintenance of and upgrades to production and packaging equipment.

Shift: 3rd shift Monday‑Friday 10:45 pm‑7:15 am; some weekends needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Support the installation and maintenance of production and packaging equipment.
  • Perform and support mechanics in performing routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting on‑site repairs.
  • Provide technical support and training for maintenance personnel and equipment operators.
  • Lead equipment and process continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime.
  • Lead and/or assist with developing and implementing OPEX initiatives.
  • Lead maintenance/Ops Techs in setting‑up, reviewing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance procedures, practices & equipment.
  • Write, lead and participate in quality investigations.
  • Support equipment qualification.
  • Adhere to all safety & cGMP regulations & procedures.

Position Requirements

Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of packaging and/or production experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA, OSHA and related federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven work experience as a maintenance engineer or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Working knowledge of automation & controls – hardware and software.
  • Ability to read system schematics.
  • Advanced troubleshooting & problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment.
  • Proficient in English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Proficient at communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Physical Demand Requirement

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping and crouching, climbing, occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 25 lb. May be exposed to toxic materials, toxic gases, electrical hazards, and dangerous tools and equipment. Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
