Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Cardiovascular Heart Failure

The Cardio Vascular Service Line Heart Failure Inpatient Nurse Practitioner

Utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Looking for a NP with cardiac clinical expertise in cardiac surgery, cath lab, CCU/ED. APP preferred to have private practice cardiology experience.

Education,

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications

Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner (w/ Master's Degree).
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Board certified by AANP or ANCC.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
