Job OverviewThe Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
Responsibilities- A day in the life of a Registered Nurse includes Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation.
- Collect and analyze patient data, perform systematic assessment, recognize clinical changes, identify education needs.
- Develop and coordinate a patient‑centered plan of care, prioritize interventions.
- Communicate and implement plan of care, provide ongoing communication with patient/family, nursing colleagues.
- Document each intervention, medication administration using electronic system, ensure safe medication delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for safe transition and continuum of care.
- Evalue progress toward outcomes, use critical thinking, initiate interventions when condition changes.
- Adhere to American Nurses Association Code, lift minimum 35 lbs, push pull 10 lbs, stand 6 hrs.
- Identify ethical issues and bring to attention of team.
- Enhance patient satisfaction opportunities.
- Maintain competencies, certifications, continuing education.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education,
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Associate in Nursing or diploma in Nursing.
- BSN in progress or willing to acquire within 3 years.
- ≥6 months relevant nursing experience or active participation in Nurse Residency Program.
- Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education.
Education,
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred:
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
- BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
Minimum rate of $45.14 Hourly.
