• Provides patient care, applying advanced clinical skills and critical thinking to ensure optimal outcomes of clinical outcomes.
• Provides support and acts as a clinical resource for staff; monitors clinical practice to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Supports the assessment of appropriate patient care through assessment, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the delivery of patient care.
• Collaborates with Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, and Nurse Educators in assessing the educational needs of staff and developing professional goals.
• Plans and implements educational programs.
• Coaches staff in professional development and assists in the performance appraisal and competency assessment process.
• Demonstrates professional involvement by participating in workshops, journal clubs, seminars, and grand rounds—fostering review and discussion of current research as a presenter or member.
• May act as a preceptor to graduate students.
• Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

• Advanced clinical assessment and patient care skills in oncology nursing.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and teaching abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Critical thinking and evidence-based practice proficiency.

• Experience as a clinical educator or preceptor.
• Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and staff development programs.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology nursing.
• Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in the area of clinical practice.
• Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Compliance Professional (HCP) certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Nursing and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
