Sunshine Grill is a locally owned neighborhood café focused on fresh, comforting food and community. We’re looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support our daily operations, including food prep, kitchen cleanliness, and occasional delivery of hot lunches to local childcare centers.

This is a hands‑on, versatile role ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working as part of a small team, and taking pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly.

• Assist with basic food prep (chopping, assembling, portioning)
• Dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with packing and staging catering and school lunch orders
• Deliver hot lunches to childcare schools in Central Jersey (as needed)
• Support the kitchen team with daily tasks as assigned

• Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Food service or kitchen experience a plus (but not required)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Weekday mornings and early afternoons and possible weekends. Some flexibility required based on catering and school delivery needs.

Great pay: $16–$19 per hour, based on experience
