Retail Full Time Assistant Manager Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the Store Manager regarding all aspects of the retail store including sales, customer service, operations, human resources, training, visual merchandising, and loss prevention.

• Customer Service – Ensure each customer receives the highest level of customer service.
• Human Resources – Notify the Store Manager of hiring needs/floor coverage shortages;
  Assist Store Manager in finding new employees;
  Understand and communicate company discount policy;
  Assist with payroll budget;
  Schedule staff efficiently;
  Follows progressive discipline procedures;
  Leverages staff and customer ideas;
  Manages daily activity on sales floor, backroom, and cash register area according to company policy.

• Strong managerial skills
• Strong selling and communication skills
• Excellent product knowledge
• Strong knowledge of company history, corporate structure, and target market
• Knowledge of the competition and their prices
• Strong knowledge of POS systems

• Ability to work varied days/hours
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs.

• High school or equivalent
• One or more years of store management experience in a retail environment
