The Home Depot is seeking Customer Service/Sales associates who provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. They greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department and may work in adjacent departments.
They maintain in-stock conditions and ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe. Associates work with their Department Supervisor and other department teammates, and may be assigned to departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental. The position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

- Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Learn about products using company tools and provide information to customers to sell projects.
- Greet, qualify, recommend and close sales within the department.
- Maintain in-stock conditions, keep areas clean, shop-able, and safe.
- Follow safety policies and standards, complete safety training, identify and report hazards, and work safely with customers and co-workers.
- Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other departments.
- Support various store departments as needed (e.g., Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Tool Rental).
- Strong customer service orientation with ability to assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Willingness to learn product information and use tools to assist customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
- Team player capable of cooperating with store leadership and colleagues.
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
