Forklift Warehouse Associate

Position Description

Forklift Warehouse Associate – Permanent Full-Time position in Port Reading, New Jersey.

Pay: $19.50 per hour;
Overtime $29.25 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Six months related warehouse experience (required); one year or more (preferred)
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up / sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.); knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting
• Must hold or be able to obtain a certified forklift license
• Ability to read, do basic arithmetic in English for safety and work instructions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Data entry into the warehouse management system
• Work overtime as assigned
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels
• Team player and independent worker
• Fast-paced, self-driven; strong multi-tasking, organization, time-management, and follow-up skills

• Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is correct; assist dock employees with new procedures
• Secure facility at shift end; investigate/resolve scan issues and maintain housekeeping
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
• Carry out tasks per location policies and procedures, handling materials within associated logical transactions
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
• Participate in workgroup and team activities for improvement of operations and business functions
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
• Execute other duties as assigned
