Estimator – Carpentry, Drywall & Interior Trades

A well‑established commercial interiors contractor in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This company specializes in high‑quality interior buildouts across corporate, healthcare, education, and commercial spaces.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for carpentry, drywall, acoustical ceilings, millwork, and additional interior trades. This role requires someone who can interpret construction documents, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and build comprehensive proposals while collaborating with project managers and field leadership.

• Review project plans, specifications, and addendums for scope and requirements
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for carpentry, drywall, ceilings, and related trades
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Prepare complete, accurate, and timely cost estimates and bid proposals
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope reviews
• Assist with value engineering ideas and alternate solutions
• Track historical cost data to improve pricing accuracy
  
  Work closely with project management during handoff to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution

• 3–7+ years of estimating experience in commercial interiors or related construction trades
• Strong knowledge of drywall, carpentry, and interior systems
• Proficiency with estimating software (On‑Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong math, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bidding environment with multiple deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay range: $80,000.00 - $/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k contribution, and gas card.

Fully onsite position in Edison, NJ.

This position is anticipated to close on Jan 5, 2026.
