Truck Driver CDL A Solo

Join us as a Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Solo with Ryder System, Inc. in Edison, NJ. Immediate opening.

We are looking for a skilled Class A CDL driver to operate a solo 26 ft truck, 53' dry van. Pay is $1,280 per week (or more) with $32.00 per hour, 40+ hours per week, Monday–Friday. Start time: 4:30 AM–7:00 AM.

• Route:
  Local Home Daily
• Tractor Type: 26 ft truck, 53' dry van
• Equipment:
  Pallet jack, lift gate, hand truck
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
• Freight:
  Touch – HVAC

  Trucks are 36 months or newer

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards while maintaining accurate records and logs
• Load or unload freight, or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
