Chambers Library at the University of Central Oklahoma is seeking an early career archival professional to serve as a Library Fellow in Special Collections and University Archives. The Fellow position is a permanent full‑time position. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Special Collections and University Archives staff to assist with a variety of projects and tasks—from providing research assistance to processing archival collections and developing finding aids within the library’s archival content management system, Archiv Era.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a strong grasp of archival best practices, and is a recent graduate or near graduate in an ALA accredited Library Information Studies or archives program. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. A background in academic libraries, experience processing manuscript collections, and experience with an archival management system are a plus.
