Position Overview:Under the supervision of the building Principal and the University of Central Oklahoma, assist in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the concurrent monitoring space by supervising students during times when classes are not meeting, in accordance with Board policy and district procedures.
The primary duty (more than 50%) is to instruct and impart knowledge to students in the concurrent course program, qualifying for the FLSA teaching exemption category. The position requires travel between UCO's main campus in Edmond and various Deer Creek district locations.
Essential Job Functions:- Mentor, guide, and instruct students
- Supervise students during the school day
- Ensure students stay in their assigned areas
- Circulate and monitor the space as needed
- Report to counselors, principals, or other personnel
- Maintain records of student learning and performance
- Assist with behavioral management to minimize disruptions and maintain safety
- Follow safety rules and procedures, including for students with disabilities
- Check and record student attendance as directed
- Distribute textbooks, supplies, or materials as needed
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in schools or with children.
