Note:
Adjunct positions at UCO are part-time teaching positions. This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as sections become open at any point in the current academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of adjuncts.
Adjunct Faculty provide a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. They report to a dean or chair and perform instruction-related duties in accordance with the college's policies and procedures. The role involves teaching undergraduate clinical and/or laboratory classes in Nursing, supervising clinical groups, and evaluating students' nursing competencies and professional behaviors. Some positions may include teaching lecture classes.
Qualifications: Possess at least a master's degree in Nursing or related field (exceptions require approval). Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Nursing, clinical nursing experience, and current Oklahoma RN license, CPR, vaccination, and tuberculosis testing.
Additional requirements: Drug screening before clinical duties. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
