JOB GOAL

To monitor students in a safe, orderly, and positive environment before or after school.

A minimum of BS or BA in Education from an approved accredited college or university with a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate is preferred but not required. Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Administration and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Monitor assigned students in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plan a program for before and after care that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students assigned.
• Create an environment that is conducive to the interest and development of the students.
• Prepare for the students enrolled in the program and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of expected behavior.
• Employ a variety of activities that are consistent with the physical limitations of the location and the needs of the students involved.
• Address the learning diversities of all students on a regular basis and seek district assistant as required or needed.
• Adhere to district policy.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Responsible for organizing and administering the program to conform with state law and policies and procedures of the school building and the Superintendent.
• Abide by all district, state and federal laws, policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality with all school and student information.
• Maintain all compliance documents.
• Organize all activities.
• Assign duties to Antler Care teachers as needed.
• Maintain all food service storage and sanitizing all equipment and utensils.
• Must hold valid certification for CPR training or be willing to complete certification within 90 of employment.
