You’ll earn money right away with a predictable hourly wage plus tips, commissions and bonuses. Flexible scheduling supports work/life balance. Benefits include paid time off and employee discounts. We provide all the tools and products you need. You don’t need to find your own clients — we are busy with members, other regulars and new customers. Your work can be featured on international social media channels.

There are opportunities to grow your portfolio and participate in photo shoots, fashion shows and other events. Fun contests are held to showcase creativity and win prizes.

Compensation: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour

• A certified/licensed makeup artist with experience in applying makeup
• Passionate about the beauty industry and current trends
• Knowledgeable in makeup consultation, application techniques and skin care
• Expert in color matching across all skin tones
• Able to create a personalized makeup application for each guest
• Available to work weekends and flexible with scheduling
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proactive and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
• Friendly, approachable and a good listener
• Mature, tactful and able to diffuse tense situations and create positive experiences
• Adaptable to changing environments; experience contributing to and implementing new approaches with hair and makeup teams

• An up-to-date cosmetology license for the state
• 1-3 years of professional makeup experience
• Salon industry experience (or working knowledge)
• Passion for the hair and beauty industry
• Ability to work weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) and be flexible with schedule, including peak hours as determined by the bar (typically Thursday through Sunday)

• Perform makeup applications on guests from Blo’s Signature Makeup Menu, including custom makeup applications such as Bridal
• Become a product knowledge expert of Bare Minerals (Blo Blow Dry Bar’s chief makeup partner) and complete certification
• Receive ongoing education through Blo’s partnership with Bare Minerals
• Opportunity to perform off-site services (Blo on the Go) including cross-promotional events and pop-ups
• Work in a sleek, modern blow dry bar alongside a passionate team of hair and beauty experts
• Act as a brand ambassador for Blo in every interaction with coworkers and guests, embodying the “Blo Hearts You” motto

I truly love working for Blo! The owner for the location in Franklin Lakes is a genuine, sweet person. Our manager is amazing and treats the staff fairly. They work around your schedule and always make you feel appreciated. There’s always room to grow within the independent location and even corporate. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
