Location:

Edmond, OK. This role will remain open until filled.

• Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Serves as a full‑time certified pharmacy technician, operating pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers under the supervision of a pharmacist, following authorized company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics.
• Selects, schedules, develops pharmacy technician personnel, and leads training, coaching, and performance management. Makes decisions regarding discipline and termination.

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving complaints, and answering non‑clinical questions.
• Develops strong customer relationships, anticipates needs, and proactively offers services.

• Assists pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification.
• Completes patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Assists with healthcare services including vaccines, health screenings, and permitted health services.
• Delegates and assigns non‑clinical work, ensuring timely completion and accountability.
• Prepares and files reports required by the company and government agencies.
• Manages core pharmacy workflow, coordinates daily schedule, recommends hour allocation, and maintains a clean, stocked environment.
• Ensures compliance with business administrative activities and pharmacy inventory management.
• Drives technology rollouts, champions change, maintains equipment operation.
• Adheres to Walgreens policies on Good Faith Dispensing and asset protection.
• Communicates prescription errors and adheres to quality improvement programs.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurers.
• Supports management in improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
• Manages Community Outreach Portal and coordinates off‑site clinics and community events.

• Leads performance management of technicians, including discipline and termination decisions.
• Follows constructive discipline policy and ensures compliance with laws.
• Accounts for technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling.
• Identifies knowledge gaps and supports training through hands‑on or learning modules.
• Monitors licensures, registrations, and certifications compliance.
• Ensures proper procedures for selection, recruitment, and training per company policy and law.

• Maintains PTCB certification and state‑required certifications.
• Enhances knowledge and skills in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Obtains required certifications and training such as LTMP e‑modules.
• Seeks professional development through performance monitoring and mentorship.

• Communicates with pharmacy team, relaying messages and participating in key meetings.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in certain locations).

• Previous people management/leadership experience.
• Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation performance evaluation.
