Pride Health is hiring for Travel Radiographer - II to support our client’s facility based in Edmond, OK 73034
. This is a contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
- Contract Length: 3 months with possible extension
- Shift Time: Saturday 7am – 7pm, Sunday 7am – 9pm, Monday 7am – 7pm
- Pay: $2,300 per week for 36 hours (gross travel pay)
- Travel Compensation: $2,300/Week for 36 hours
Under general supervision, performs advanced professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations. Circulates to other diagnostic radiology areas as assigned by the supervisor (e.g., surgery, trauma, and pediatrics) and is recognized as an expert in his/her field or participates in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in other specialized radiology areas or modalities.
Responsibilities- Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastro-intestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems regarding equipment and/or film output.
- Act as a resource and preceptor for other radiographers and/or students.
- Participate in training programs to enhance radiology skills and become proficient in producing images for CT, MRI, or other special procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for area of primary responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of the techniques of diagnostic radiography.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
- Ability to prioritize assignments.
- Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information so patients and/or parents can understand the procedure and expectations.
- One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
- Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty.
- OR
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI credentials in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department must be current upon hire or advancement.
- AHA BLS.
